What is Digital Wagon – Singles to Radio?
Digital Wagon is a singles to radio and media service that allows artists to get their music heard in the most direct and cost effective way.
Through the partnership with Play MPE®, we release a monthly country sampler to a carefully selected list of radio programmers, presenters and key media across Australia for review.
Digital Wagon – Singles to Radio is a digital system, meaning the sampler is instantly received and is ready to be streamed, downloaded or added to playlists immediately. Because there are no expensive hardcopy CD’s, packaging or postage expenses, this system is cost effective, environmentally friendly and is now the preferred method for major record labels globally.
After each sampler is sent out we then monitor downloads and streams, working with the stations to provide the artist with an indication of airplay activity. We also provide artists with the contacts to follow up for interviews and promotion.
Digital Wagon was set up by producer, songwriter and musician; Rod McCormack who is no stranger to the music industry.
Rod has handpicked key commercial and community radio contacts plus media VIPs to receive the samplers – contacts he believes will be the most beneficial for the artists.
Once you have uploaded your track via our website, we will add it to our next Digital Wagon Monthly Sampler. The sampler will then be sent out digitally through Play MPE’s secure digital delivery system to a comprehensive database of 200 key commercial and community radio stations and media across Australia.
Recipients will receive a link to either Login or register to Play MPE® to preview the Digital Wagon sampler. They then have the option to stream, download or burn all or as many of the tracks they wish, completely free of charge.
As this is now the recognised and preferred system for most record labels, Play MPE® will be very familiar to most if not all contacts on our database.
Three weeks after the sampler is sent out, we will request that the radio stations complete a feedback form to provide a clear indication of your tracks airplay activity so far.
One week later, we will send each artist from the sampler a Radio Activity Report (which is compiled form the radio feedback form results) plus a Play MPE Activity Report - showing the action taken from each recipient, including who streamed, downloaded or burned your track from Play MPE® and finally a copy of the recipient distribution list for further promotional follow up.
